Inter-Family Letters

One of Milton's Letters to his Girl

June 12th (1944)

Dearest Betty,

Well I guess I better get a few more lines written to you or you will be thinking I forgot you.  I am sorry I could not write more often but it is impossible.  We have to be thankful for what we have.  I am feeling fine and hope this letter finds you feeling well also.  How are things around Irwin these days?  It sure will be good to see that old town again.

Betty, has my sister been calling you when they hear from me?  I asked them to do so.  I would appreciate it very much of you will call my home when you hear from me.  And I'm sure my folks would be very pleased.

Well my paper is about full so I will close for this time.

                                                   All my love always

                                                                   Milton
