Inter-Family Letters
This Letter is to Gene's Mother from Joseph Luckey's (Co-Pilot) Wife
July 12th
Dear Mrs. Farrow,
Have you had any news of Gene as yet? The _______ sent me a letter saying their plane was hit over the target (Austria) and fell out of formation. They weren't hit badly because they got back in formation again and held it there for 5 minutes and went down over Zagreb, Yugoslavia. I am in hopes the boys are in with the underground. General Tito's Army have taken
over a town thirty miles east of there, so I think we should have a lot of hope.
If you have any more news I hope you will let me know.
Very Sincerely,
Mrs. Joseph Luckey
