S/Sgt. Milton McCracken was born Dec 16, 1923 in Westmoreland City, Pa. He was the youngest of 16 children. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in Feb of 1943 and would ultimately become the Victory Bound's left waist gunner.
He married LaVerna Curry on Jan 17, 1946 and they had a son and two daughters. He retired from a 25 year banking career in 1985 and died in 1999.
